This latest attack on Shia Muslim mourners of the Holy Prophet’s grandson, Imam Hussain marks yet another instance of violence by radical Deobandi terrorist groups like ASWJ-LeJ.  This ISIS-affiliated terrorist group goes by other names as well such as Jundullah and Jamaat ul Ahrar and besides targeting Shias, also targets Sunnis, Sufis, Christians and Ahmadis in Pakistan.  ASWJ publicly takes credit for its terrorism and in a public gathering in a hockey stadium in 2014, they sang songs boasting about their cowardly murder of over 100 Shia and Sunni muslims.

The Balochistan leader of ASWJ is Ramzan Mengal who publicly lead the funeral prayer of Baloch nationalist leader, Khair Bux Marri.

The soft political face of ASWJ-LeJ is controversial Deobandi hate cleric Tahir Ashrafi – who uses his social media perch on twitter to incite hatred against Sunnis, Ahmadis and Shias.

Tahir Ashrafi was instrumental in the release of mass murdering ASWJ-LeJ vice president, Malik Ishaq; even after the later had publicly boasted in a  “newspaper interview in 1997 even admitted to having been involved in the killing of more than 100 people” (Refer to Page 114 of “The Wrong Enemy” by Carlotta Gall; snapshot provided below)

We request all readers to question take this matter to their local representatives and petition them on making Tahir Ashrafi legally accountable.  He is currently visiting the United States; probably as part of the entourage of Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif whose Pro Saudi agenda is chiefly supported by Tahir Ashrafi within the Pakistani media.

Tahir Ashrafi also publicly threatened Pakistan’s Minority minister, the late Shahbaz Bhatti who was soon after murdered by the Taliban.

English translation of the video: If you think that you can amend this law (the anti-blasphemy law introduced by Islamist military dictator General Zia-ul-Haq) which is about Qadianis (i.e., Ahmadis), and I want to say this to that pimp of the U.S. senators, Asif Ali Zardari, and (to his Minority Affairs Minister) Shahbaz Bhatti, you should not even dream of changing the Islamic clauses (of the national constitution and laws) in this country. We will break that hand, I am saying with full responsibility, if you moved your hand towards (amending) Islamic clauses, we will break that hand, if you used your tongue against Islamic clauses, we will cut that tongue, if you directed your eyes towards Islamic clauses, we will take your eyes out. Do whatever you can. The way Mullah Umar has forced your daddy U.S.A. to lick its feet, if you acted as bastard children of the U.S.A. in Pakistan, then God willing, we will make sure that you too are forced to lick the feet of students of (Deobandi) madrassas and clerics. (applause from the crowd comprising Deobandi clerics and madrassa students)

Provoked and tipped by such hate speech, Deobandi militants of banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ-ASWJ) killed Pakistan’s Federal Minister Shahbaz Bhatt on 2 March 2011. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/03/world/asia/03pakistan.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

He frequently abuses Mirza Ghulam Ahmed, founder of Ahmadiyya sect, and resorts to hate speech against Ahmadis whom he describes as infidels, apostates, agents of foreign powers etc.
