Beena Sarwar’s assistant Ilmana Fasih Deobandi abuses Prophet Muhammad’s family: A response

A closet Deobandi bigot and Daesh/ISIS apologist, Ilmana Fasih  abused Hazrat Ali, his mother, and Hazrat Fatima, daughter of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

Informed activists have long been critical of Ilmana Fasih Deobandi, a close associate of Beena Sarwar.  Once again, we are saddened to report and expose her bigotry. But as usual Ilmana’s fake liberal comrades came to her rescue, including some Deobandi apologists, and tried to hijack and divert the discourse. They made it appear as if Sunni and Shia Muslims were inciting people to violence against Ilmana Fasih Deobandi or calling her to be charged for blasphemy. These Ashrafi-brand or elitist (fake) liberals and apologists, who think Ilmana had a right to abuse Hazrat Ali, Prophet’s family, and all Syeds in general, didn’t allow us the right to criticize and expose her.

We want to categorically state that we are against the misuse of blasphemy laws and the brandishing of people as blasphemes.  Furthermore, our activist friends did not call Ilmana Deobandi a  blasphemer; on the contrary, the criticism was with regards to her bigotry. However, the lobby of apologists for Ilmana – associated with the Beena – Sethi lobby is trying to twist our words in order to change the topic and divert it to a tangent.  These are the typical tactics of the Fake Liberal lobby of Pakistan who would prefer that we sink down to their level and respond to valid criticism with abuse and blackmail.

We consider public incitement to violence as wrong and believe that it is actually the persecuted communities who have suffered due to such attitude of Deobandi and Salafi bigots and their fake liberal comrades. However, let us also state that just as incitement to violence is wrong, double standards, hypocrisy and bigotry with misogynist and racist undertones  is also deeply repugnant and wrong. Those who support Ilmana Fasih’s right to abuse the holy personalities of Islam and make racist attacks against the Arab descendants of Hazrat Ali and Bibi Fatima, do not have the right to tell us not to criticize them; and worse deliberately distort and mispresent our criticism as incitement to violence. Calling a bigot a bigot is not incitement to violence, it is a statement of truth.

We also take this opportunity to question those people who deemed it fit to stay neutral or silent on this important juncture when the beloved figures of tens of millions of Sunni and Shia Muslims were slandered and racist and misogynist attacks were levelled against all Syed – a term of respect used to denote the descendants of the Holy Prophet.  Ironically, some of them were seen to be quite vocal in criticism of the likes of Hamza Ali Abbasi and Tahera Ahmad Salafi  However, when it came to racist and misogynist attacks –  by serial apologists of Daesh and Al Qaeda –  against the Family of the Prophet, their principled stance and activism went down the drain.

At a time when Sunni and Shia Muslims as well Ahmadis and Christians of Pakistan are facing geonocial massacres at the hands of Deobandi terrorists, it is important to note how Daesh/FSA/Al Qaeda apologists are attacking the symbols and holy personalities of Sunni Sufi and Shia Islam.

Just as Ilmana Fasih is a known apologist for the ISIS atrocities in Iraq and Syria, her promoters, backers and handlers eg Beena Sarwar of Jang Group’s Aman Ki Asha, Najam Sethi of Jang/Geo etc, frequently promote Deobandi hatemongers and terrorists such as Tahir Ashrafi, Ludhyanvi and the closet hate cleric Javed Ghamidi.
